Did you know that Chrissy the Shih Tzu was a real beloved fur baby? She was my brother’s dog until he passed away and my husband and I became her pet parents. Chrissy was incredibly empathic and intuitive, which gave me the inspiration to start the series and expand on her special gift in Attorney at Paw. The Shih Tzu on the cover of each book in the series is an actual picture of Chrissy. She even appeared with me during a video interview. She’s the fluff ball in the middle of the sofa. “This writer has upped her game in storytelling and mystery. Just when you think you know who did it, someone throws a chisel into the mix and you get snow-blinded. Very few veiled hints in the storyline, which made the culmination even better. The perfect ending of Autumn and Ray getting married, with Chrissy bringing up the rear “wagon” her tail, was the grand finale to this wonderfully anticipated winter wedding, which did not go off without its share of obstacles, hitches and superstitions used to overcome those hindrances. Good book to chill out with, holding a cup of hot chocolate or a glass of wine, near a roaring fire and a furry friend or two or three. High five Diane !!!
